FAQ
What is 1 GB of data?
1 GB ≈ 1024 MB. Roughly enough for ~3 hours of HD video, 30+ hours of music streaming, or ~10 hours of social-media scrolling — figures vary by app and quality settings.
Is 1 GB of data enough for a day?
Plenty for messaging + maps + light browsing. If you stream video or run video calls, plan on 1–3 GB per day. Heavy mobile gaming or HD streaming can push past 4 GB/day.
How much data does YouTube use?
Roughly 300 MB/hour at 480p, 700 MB/hour at 720p, and 1.5 GB/hour at 1080p. Music-only mode is much lighter (~60 MB/hour).
How much data does WhatsApp / Telegram use?
Text-only chats are essentially free (<5 MB/hour). Voice calls ≈ 30 MB/hour, video calls ≈ 250 MB/hour. Sending photos/videos counts against this too.
How much data does Google Maps use?
Around 5–10 MB per hour of active navigation. Downloading offline maps in advance keeps trip-day usage near zero.
Can I top up if I run out?
Yes — top-up packs are available from your dashboard the moment the eSIM is installed. No new QR, the same profile keeps working.
Will the eSIM work in multiple countries?
Regional packs cover a continent (e.g. Europe / Asia / MENA); the global pack works in 180+ countries on one plan. The calculator picks the smallest bundle that covers everywhere you picked.
