Which carrier the eSIM actually uses

Most travel eSIM providers (including MobileXY) roam visitors onto T-Mobile or AT&T networks. T-Mobile has the strongest urban 5G; AT&T has the best rural coverage in the Midwest and Southwest. Verizon's network is the least commonly offered to visitor eSIMs — some providers roam onto it, most don't.

Are "unlimited" plans really unlimited?

Most travel eSIM "unlimited" USA plans throttle to 3G speeds after 10-20 GB. Read the fine print. For most travelers a fixed 10-15 GB plan delivers full-speed for the entire trip, costs less, and ends up faster than the throttled "unlimited" alternative.

Pricing reality

USA eSIMs are pricier than Asia or most of Europe — the per-GB cost is 2-3× what you'd pay for a Thailand plan. This is unavoidable: US carrier wholesale rates are higher. Don't pay airport prices on top of that.
