The screenshots refer to the Google Pixel 4a running Android 11. This information may not suitable for all devices from the same manufacturer / series. Some screenshots and operations could be different from the software versions.
Notice: Make sure your Google device is compatible with eSIM and connected to Wi-Fi or cellular service before installing an eSIM. If you want to install eSIM on your current phone, send the QR code to the other device.
After purchasing a MobileXY plan, you can install a eSIM profile on your Google device. There are several options for how you can add a MobileXY profile to your phone.
If you already have the MobileXY app installed, you can open the eSIM installation guide from it. Go to the Help section and choose MobileXY Installation.
Option 1 — Adding the MobileXY via Fast Installation
- Open Android MobileXY app.
- Go to the Support and choose MobileXY Installation.
- Tap on the Install button at the Fast tab for initiating the installation. Your device will now direct you to system settings. Installation process should not be interrupted.
4. Wait for the installation process to end.
5. If you want to start using the plan immediately, don’t forget to activate Roaming and Mobile data. To do this, go to device settings and go to Settings > Internet & Network. Choose newly added plan (MobileXY) and enable Roaming and Mobile data.
Once our eSIM is correctly installed, you are ready to activate and use Mobile Internet from MobileXY! It may take up to 5–10 minutes for the eSIM to find connectivity after the plan has been activated.
Option 2 — Adding the MobileXY by scanning the QR code
1. Go to Settings. Tap Network & internet.
2. Tap + and Download a SIM button.
3. Scan QR code received on the MobileXY email.
3. Don’t forget to activate Roaming and Mobile data. To do this, go to device settings and go to Settings > Internet & Network. Choose newly added plan (MobileXY) and enable Roaming and Mobile data.
Within a moment, your eSIM profile will connect to the local network.
You can check the eSIM status in the MobileXY app. To do this, go to the Help section, and choose MobileXY Installation.
Once our eSIM is correctly installed, you are ready to activate and use Mobile Internet from MobileXY! It may take up to 5–10 minutes for the eSIM to find connectivity after the plan has been activated.
